Why does the school not have its own swimming pool?

There are a number of reasons.

1. if we were to put in a pool a signficant part of the school grounds would have to go
2. pools are not MOE funded so the cost would come back to the school community
3. there are a number of requirements now required if the school did have a pool (daily testing, fencing etc)
4. we access a pool to support our aquatics programme which is funded through the school's Kiwisport funding from MOE
