The successful applicant needs to work successfully in our Year 2 or 3 area of the school and have proven ability to provide an engaging and dynamic learning environment. Experience in the delivery of a Structured Literacy programme is desirable.

We are looking for a confident and reliable person to support the manager in the running and ongoing development of our programme. At times you will be running sessions as the lead supervisor in the manager’s absence.
Our ideal assistant manager is a good communincator, well-organised, realiable, a team player, and always shows up with a smile. Ideally you should have proven successful experince in working with children and be able to support and manage staff. There is a compliance aspect relating to health and safety also. This job requires flexibility and teamwork to make sure we can provide the best care possible.
Hours of Work
SCHOOL DAYS; 7.00am - 8.30am and/ or 2.45pm – 6pm (except public holidays) with days to be negotiated (current hours are between 9 - 10 hours per week term time).
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS (4 x 2 weeks): During the school holiday programme and “teacher-only” days, the programme hours could be 8.00am to 5.30pm, of which you are required to work up to 7 hours. This will be arranged in advance in agreement with the programme manager.
Job requirements
You need to be over the age of 25 years and be a New Zealand citizen or have the right to live and work in New Zealand.
